There are several financial schemes to make the purchase and use of solar panels attractive.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Schemes for the purchase and installation of solar panels<\/h2>\n

To pay for solar panels, you can use the\u00a0Energy Savings Loan<\/a>. This loan allows you to pay for energy-saving measures in or on your home.<\/p>\n

Abolition of VAT on solar panels<\/h3>\n

From Jan. 1, 2023, VAT on solar panels 0%<\/a>. This zero rate applies only if the solar panels are installed on homes or outbuildings of a home.<\/p>\n

Self-generated electricity scheme<\/h2>\n

Self-generated electricity you may supply to the grid. And offset against your consumption at another time. This is called netting. The\u00a0balancing scheme<\/a>\u00a0applies until Jan. 1, 2025. Starting in 2025, the balancing scheme will be slowly phased out until 2031. Note that this is a proposal, so it may still change. The bill has been submitted to the Senate for consideration.<\/p>\n

Generating electricity in energy cooperative<\/strong>
\nIf you do not have your own roof on which to solar panels<\/a> can lay? Then you can also work with others to have solar panels installed on the roof of a nearby building. This is called an energy cooperative.<\/p>\n

An energy cooperative is eligible for\u00a0The Cooperative Energy Generation (SCE) subsidy scheme.<\/a>. This is a scheme for energy cooperatives and owners' associations that want to generate renewable electricity through solar, wind or hydro power. This must be done in their own living area, which is demarcated by a zip code box.<\/p>\n
