Water fence or wadi Alphen-Chaam

You can install a water fence. This is a rain barrel in the form of a fence. Another solution to collect rainwater is a wadi. This is a lowered area in your garden that temporarily collects the water, after which the water slowly sinks into the soil (infiltration).

Homeowner or tenant:

For installing a water fence or wadi, you will be reimbursed 25% of the cost with a maximum of €250.

Organization:

For installing a water fence or wadi, you will be reimbursed 25% of the cost with a maximum of €500.

Green roof, sedum roof or grass roof Alphen-Chaam

A green roof holds water when a lot of rain falls at once. In summer, such a roof is cooler. A green roof does require more maintenance than a normal roof.

For installing a green roof, you as a homeowner or renter get:

  • For an area of 7m2 or more or
  • At 25 liters or more per m2

€20 per m² subsidy with a maximum of €1,500.

For organizations:

  • For an area of 14m2 or more or
  • At 25 liters or more per m2

€20 per m² subsidy with a maximum of €3,000.

Tile out, green in Alphen-Chaam

By removing tiles (tile-sweeping), water drains into the ground more easily during rainstorms.This makes the sewers less likely to fill up. Planting flowering plants is good for insects, such as bees and butterflies.

Homeowner or tenant:

For replacing tiles for greenery, for an area of 5 m2 or larger, you will be reimbursed 25% of the cost with a maximum of €500.

Organization:

For replacing tiles for greenery, for an area of 10 m2 or larger, you will be reimbursed 25% of the cost by €1000.

Disconnecting rainwater Alphen-Chaam

By disconnecting your downspout, you ensure that (part of) the rainwater is collected in your garden or in infiltration crates underground.

Homeowner or tenant:

For this durable facility, you will be reimbursed 25% of the cost with a maximum of €1,500.

Organization:

For this durable facility, you will be reimbursed 25% of the cost with a maximum of €3,500.

Common Agricultural Policy

The European Union makes money available for agriculture through the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). About €4.7 billion in subsidies is available for the Netherlands over the next 5 years. Part of this money is for Gelderland. We supplement this amount, ensuring an economically strong, sustainable and livable countryside. Farmers, nature and landscape organizations, municipalities, water boards and collaborative associations and foundations can receive subsidies.

INTERREG Deutschland-Nederland

Grants are available for the German-Dutch border region from the Interreg VI A Deutschland-Nederland program. This European subsidy is intended to strengthen the competitive position in our border region. Besides innovation and sustainability, the focus is also on stimulating a connected border region (for example, through projects in the field of education and labor market) and stimulating cooperation between citizens and authorities. It is also possible to receive subsidies for small-scale cross-border projects that increase the quality of life in the border region, such as cross-border exchanges with schools or, for example, in the field of sports and culture.

We support the innovative, green, social and citizen-oriented further development of the German-Dutch border region. Over 465 million euros are available to finance projects in the 2021-2027 funding period.

ERDF program 2021-2027 eastern Netherlands

Through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the East Netherlands receives funding from the European Union (EU) to stimulate the regional economy. The goal is to strengthen the competitive position of the East Netherlands and to invest in a smarter and sustainable region. The money is primarily intended for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

For the period 2021-2027, the EU is providing €82 million, the national government €23 million and the provinces Gelderland and Overijssel together €21 million. Eastern Netherlands wants to continue the line of OP Oost 2014-2020 (updated). This means investing in innovation and the main target group is small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In the years 2022 to 2026 the budget will be made available. This through regular openings throughout the years. Asbestos Roofing Scheme Drenthe

Asbestos roof removal with a favorable loan. You can if you own a building with an asbestos roof in Drenthe. You can take out loans with a fixed low interest rate, which you can also repay early without penalty. The obligation to remove your asbestos roof by 2024 has been put on hold for the time being. You've probably heard that. But the province of Drenthe thinks asbestos removal is important and is therefore accommodating you.

The scheme basically runs until Jan. 1, 2029, but a ceiling amount is set annually. Hence, deadline applications state Dec. 31, 2028.

Who is this loan for?

Owners of buildings with asbestos roofs in the province of Drenthe. Associations of Owners (VVE) that own buildings with asbestos roofs in the province of Drenthe.

What can you get the loan for?

  • Materials, work and obligations for, or associated with the remediation of the asbestos roof and or vertical facade

  • Materials and work to install a replacement roof, siding or vertical facade

  • Strengthening the roof structure

  • Materials and work to install insulation material for the replacement roof or vertical facade

  • An architectural opinion regarding remediation or the new roof or vertical facade to be installed

  • Materials and work to demolish the building or vertical facade, dispose of materials and level the site

  • Fees for necessary permits

  • Costs for the purpose of financing

  • The preparation and remediation of soil contamination at an asbestos roof due to erosion of the asbestos roof within 2 meters of the building

  • Cleaning or removing thatch located under an asbestos roof

  • Materials and work to apply solar panels

  • Nature assessment to determine whether protected species will be adversely affected by the activity

What are the conditions?

  • Note: You may only start remediation after your application has been approved by SNN and SVn. If work has already been done, SNN cannot process your application. (If you have already had an inventory report drawn up, that will not be a problem).

  • Quote for remediation was obtained from a certified asbestos specialist

  • The grant in the form of the loan does not exceed a maximum of the eligible costs with a minimum loan amount of €2,500 and a maximum loan amount up to €100,000 per owner or association of owners (VVE)

  • The cost of materials and work to install solar panels does not exceed 50% of the remediation and replacement costs

  • The cost of preparation and remediation of soil contamination in the case of a Measurement Loan is up to 20% of the total remediation and replacement costs

  • Loans up to €20,000 are provided in the form of a consumer loan, repayable in up to 15 years

  • Loans over €20,000 are provided as a mortgage loan, to be paid off in up to 30 years

  • A loan can also be applied for a cash-out or custom loan

  • The loan is provided by the Stimuleringsfonds Volkshuisvesting Nederlandse Gemeenten (SVn.) SVn's product specifications and conditions therefore apply

  • The interest rate set by SVn is increased by a surcharge of 0.1% to cover risks

  • An unsigned quotation of the measure(s) to be implemented must be attached to the application

Owners of buildings in NCG's reinforcement program with outdated reinforcement advice can receive €7,000 in subsidies for energy-saving measures such as insulation, solar panels or a heat pump.

Who is this grant for?

For owners of buildings that are in NCG's reinforcement program and have an assessment with outdated views.

What can you get a grant for?

  • Energy-saving measures, such as roof, floor, wall and cavity wall insulation, HR++ or triple glazing, and insulating doors and frames.
  • Renewable energy solutions, such as solar panels, solar water heaters, heat pumps, infrared panels and heat recovery techniques.
  • Maintenance work, such as replacing window frames, roofing or electrical wiring.
  • Building improvements, such as a new boiler, bathroom or kitchen.
  • A customized recommendation for energy conservation and/or sustainability.

How much subsidy can you receive?

The grant will reimburse 100% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of €7,000 per address.

What are the conditions?

  • The applicant is the owner of the property or building for which an application is made
  • The building has or will receive a reinforcement assessment made with outdated insights. This means that the assessment was done with insights that do not yet take into account the cessation of gas production in 2022
  • This is an assessment with the NPR:9998: 2018 epoch 2 or an earlier version of the NPR:9998
  • You can combine the preservation measures with the reinforcement measures. You can also apply for the subsidy if your home or other building has already been reinforced.
  • You can also send in bills and payment receipts of measures you have already taken after Nov. 6, 2020.
  • You have two moments to submit an application. This applies per address and may be up to the maximum of 7,000 euros
  • Measures for which you apply for a grant must be implemented within three years
  • Note that in some projects this grant is already part of the reinforcement project

How does the SVG subsidy for owners' associations (VvEs) work?

It is not possible to apply from an Owners' Association (VvE) for the public or common parts. It is possible to apply individually that accrue to the joint parts of the VvE, such as the installation of solar panels or new glazing. It is then the responsibility of the recipient to coordinate the subsidy with the rest of the CoE owners.

When can you apply for a grant?

Application for the Groningen Sustainability Grant is possible until May 31, 2026.

Grant up to €17,000 when assessed with old insights

For homes that meet the old standard according to the old understanding, or a
assessment with new insights have/gain, other conditions apply.
These owners have been waiting a long time for an assessment and therefore receive extra
compensation. The grant can be applied for the same measures and
amounts to a maximum of €17,000.

Does your home fall under the reinforcement program of National Coordinator Groningen (NCG)? Does your home meet the safety standard according to old insights? Or have/will you have an assessment with new insights? Apply for this grant to preserve and improve your home and/or outbuilding.

You are eligible for a subsidy of 17,000 euros to improve and preserve your home or building. This is because you have been waiting a long time for the assessment. As a result, you may have postponed maintenance or investment in your home or building. With this grant you can make your home or building more sustainable and improve it.

By improving your home or other building, you can fix overdue maintenance, make it more sustainable and provide greater living comfort. For example, you can use the money to remodel your kitchen or buy solar panels. In addition, this also applies to any outbuildings, such as a barn that is on your lot. The improvements are aimed at a sustainable improvement of your home. Investments to your contents, such as a new TV are not possible.

Who is this grant for?

What can you get a grant for?

  • To improving and/or preserving your home or building. It may also be to outbuildings at the same address

  • You can spend the subsidy on any measures you want to install. That can be on solar panels, floor, wall and roof insulation, as well as maintenance or remodeling of your kitchen or bathroom

  • You can also send in bills and receipts from measures you have already taken after November 6, 2020

What are the conditions?

  • You have or will receive an assessment as an owner with the new insights. These insights assume stopping gas production in 2022

  • This means that your property will be assessed with the new insights

  • If you do already have an assessment with old insights and choose to have a reassessment you are also eligible for the 17,000 euro grant

  • If you have not yet received a decision on the reassessment from the NCG, please wait a little longer before applying for this grant

  • If you do already have an assessment with old understanding and it shows that your home does not need reinforcement measures

  • You have multiple application times to submit an application. This applies per address and this is allowed up to the maximum of 17,000 euros

  • Measures for which you apply for a grant must be implemented within three years

Owners Association

It is not possible to apply from a VvE for the public or common parts. It is possible to submit an individual application that accrues to the common parts of the VvE, such as laying solar panels, new glazing, intercom system, elevator and other public areas. It is then the responsibility of the grant recipient to coordinate this with the rest of the VvE owners. The SNN has no legal stake in this.
