Subsidy Scheme for Sustainability and Maintenance of Rental Housing (SVOH).

Landlords can receive subsidies for making their rental properties more sustainable. The Subsidy Scheme for Sustainability and Maintenance of Rental Housing (SVOH) is for insulation, sustainable heating and ventilation.

Terms

  • The property is an existing home (no new construction) and is intended for rental.
  • The rental property was rented before the measures were implemented.
  • The work was performed no more than 12 months ago.
  • The subsidy is a maximum of €10,000 per home. Are you installing a heat pump or solar water heater? Then the maximum is €15,000.

What do you receive funding for?

  • Insulated glass and new window frames.
  • Roof, wall, cavity wall, floor and bottom insulation.
  • Heat pump or solar water heater.
  • Energy efficient ventilation system.
  • Energy advice (only in conjunction with sustainability measures)

Subsidy for insulating glazing

The SVOH scheme allows landlords to receive subsidies for insulating glass.
If you combine glass insulation (within 12 months) with roof, wall, cavity wall, or floor insulation, a heat pump or solar water heater, then you qualify for the higher subsidy amount.

Subsidy for insulation measures

The SVOH scheme allows landlords to receive subsidies for insulation measures. If you combine multiple insulation measures, a heat pump or solar water heater, you are eligible for the higher subsidy amount.

  • Minimum area requirements apply: for facade and cavity wall insulation this is 10m2 per dwelling. For roof and floor insulation, a minimum of 70% of the total roof or floor area of the building must be insulated.
  • It is not possible to apply for subsidies more than once for the same insulation measure.

Subsidy for a heat pump or solar water heater

VvEs can apply for a subsidy to install a heat pump or solar water heater for sustainable heating. The subsidy amount is calculated based on the capacity of the installation. Typically, the subsidy is between 20 and 30% of the cost.

Subsidy for a ventilation system

Grants are available for two types of ventilation systems and ventilation box replacement:

How much subsidy will you receive?

You will receive a maximum subsidy of € 10,000 per home. If you also install a solar water heater or heat pump, this maximum is € 15,000.

Subsidy rain barrel and compost barrel Soest

If you purchase a rain barrel and/or compost bin from one of the affiliated stores, you may receive a contribution from the municipality. This is only possible if you live in the municipality of Soest.

Compost barrel

With a compost bin, you make compost from your vegetable, fruit and garden waste. You can use this compost to improve the soil in your garden. It also reduces your amount of household waste.

Rain barrel

Want to use rainwater to water your plants? Then make use of a rain barrel. You will save on the consumption of drinking water and use rainwater sustainably.

You apply for the contribution using the button below. Per address you can apply for this subsidy for 1 rain barrel and 1 compost barrel. You get 21 percent of the purchase price back. For the rain barrel you get a maximum of 100 euros.

Future-proof housing loan Arnhem

With the Future-proof Housing Loan (previously called "sustainability loan") you can finance energy measures such as insulation, a heat pump or solar panels. The loan is also intended to make your home life-proof, so you can live independently at home for longer. We offer the Future-proof Living Loan in cooperation with the Public Housing Stimulation Fund (SVn) and the Province of Gelderland.

Types of loans

There are 4 different loans with their own interest rates and amount you can borrow maximum:

Consumer loan

  • You can apply for a minimum of €2,500 and a maximum of €30,000.
  • You can borrow up to €50,000 for "zero on the meter" homes, making your home natural gas-free, or asbestos remediation combined with sustainability.
  • The interest rate is 1.6%.

Mortgage loan

  • You can apply for a minimum of €2,500 and a maximum of €50,000.
  • For a 10-year term, the interest rate is 1.6%.
  • For a 20-year term, the interest rate is 1.8%.

Redemption

  • Your home is worth more than the amount of your mortgage. With this excess value, you can future-proof your home.
  • You can apply for a minimum of €2,500 and a maximum of €50,000 through a mortgage loan.
  • The interest rate is 1.7%.

Customized loan

  • You can apply for a minimum of €2,500 and a maximum of €50,000 through a mortgage loan.
  • The loan applies to foundation repair, asbestos remediation and energy measures.
  • The interest rate is 1.7%.

Terms

  • You own and occupy an existing property or you are a private landlord of up to 3 properties in Arnhem.
  • You use at least 1 energy measure when investing in your home.
  • The measures for which you can apply for a loan can be found in the measure list.

Asbestos Roofing Scheme Drenthe

Do you own a building in Drenthe? Apply for this low-cost loan for asbestos roof removal.

Asbestos roof removal with a favorable loan. You can if you own a building with an asbestos roof in Drenthe. You can take out loans with a fixed low interest rate, which you can also repay early without penalty. The obligation to remove your asbestos roof by 2024 has been put on hold for the time being. You've probably heard that. But the province of Drenthe thinks asbestos removal is important and is therefore accommodating you.

The scheme basically runs until Jan. 1, 2029, but a ceiling amount is set annually. Hence, deadline applications state Dec. 31, 2028.

Who is this loan for?

Owners of buildings with asbestos roofs in the province of Drenthe. Associations of Owners (VVE) that own buildings with asbestos roofs in the province of Drenthe.

What can you get the loan for?

  • Materials, work and obligations for, or associated with the remediation of the asbestos roof and or vertical facade

  • Materials and work to install a replacement roof, siding or vertical facade

  • Strengthening the roof structure

  • Materials and work to install insulation material for the replacement roof or vertical facade

  • An architectural opinion regarding remediation or the new roof or vertical facade to be installed

  • Materials and work to demolish the building or vertical facade, dispose of materials and level the site

  • Fees for necessary permits

  • Costs for the purpose of financing

  • The preparation and remediation of soil contamination at an asbestos roof due to erosion of the asbestos roof within 2 meters of the building

  • Cleaning or removing thatch located under an asbestos roof

  • Materials and work to apply solar panels

  • Nature assessment to determine whether protected species will be adversely affected by the activity

What are the conditions?

  • Note: You may only start remediation after your application has been approved by SNN and SVn. If work has already been done, SNN cannot process your application. (If you have already had an inventory report drawn up, that will not be a problem).

  • Quote for remediation was obtained from a certified asbestos specialist

  • The grant in the form of the loan does not exceed a maximum of the eligible costs with a minimum loan amount of €2,500 and a maximum loan amount up to €100,000 per owner or association of owners (VVE)

  • The cost of materials and work to install solar panels does not exceed 50% of the remediation and replacement costs

  • The cost of preparation and remediation of soil contamination in the case of a Measurement Loan is up to 20% of the total remediation and replacement costs

  • Loans up to €20,000 are provided in the form of a consumer loan, repayable in up to 15 years

  • Loans over €20,000 are provided as a mortgage loan, to be paid off in up to 30 years

  • A loan can also be applied for a cash-out or custom loan

  • The loan is provided by the Stimuleringsfonds Volkshuisvesting Nederlandse Gemeenten (SVn.) SVn's product specifications and conditions therefore apply

  • The interest rate set by SVn is increased by a surcharge of 0.1% to cover risks

  • An unsigned quotation of the measure(s) to be implemented must be attached to the application

Grant Green Roofs Apeldoorn

Amount

Maximum €30 per m2 with a maximum of €2,500 per home.

Main conditions

  • You own the property or have written permission from the owner as a tenant
  • You apply for the grant before you start construction
  • The property was built before 2012 and is currently connected to the mixed sewer system
  • The roof area is a minimum of 30 m2. For a smaller roof, you may also apply with several residents of the community
  • A minimum of 20 liters of water can be collected per m2

Rainwater disconnection subsidy Apeldoorn

Amount

Between €6 and €12 per m2 of roof, depending on the method of capture. For specific amounts, check the website of the provider of this subsidy.

Main conditions

  • You own the property or have permission from the owner as a tenant
  • The property was built before 2012 and is connected to the mixed sewer system
  • You disconnect a minimum of 30 m2 of roof
  • You provide good water collection and adequate storage
  • You apply for the grant before you start work

Grant 'go green' Almelo

Amount

Grant money is now only available for installing a green roof, sedum roof or grass roof: for this the subsidy is €21.73 per m2

Main conditions

  • You apply for the grant before you start work
  • You perform the work within 8 weeks
  • You can make a maximum of 1 application per address per year
  • You can also apply for subsidies as a tenant. For some measures you then need permission from the owner
  • The roof is minimum 5 m2 and maximum 90 m2

Green and animal welfare grant Alkmaar

Amount

100% of the costs with a maximum of €4,500 per application per year.

Main conditions

  • You can get grants for:
    • replacing paving with greenery, with an area of at least 5 m2 or at least 5 facades in the same street
    • replacing existing greenery with greenery with a higher value for the
      biodiversity
    • the creation of edible greenery, such as a neighborhood vegetable garden
  • You maintain the greenery for at least 5 years
  • Planting trees or purchasing pots are not covered by the grant

Facade garden scheme Amsterdam

Amount

When a façade garden is possible, the municipality provides space free of charge. However, you must buy the plants and maintain the facade garden yourself.

Main conditions

  • You have permission from the owner of the property and from the occupant of the first floor
  • There can only be a facade garden laid out if enough space remains on the sidewalk
  • Facade garden is no wider than your home and meets certain dimensions

Grant for natural gas-free buildings Amsterdam

Amount

The maximum amount of the grant varies by area.

Main conditions

  • The building must be within 'technology neutral natural gas-free areas'
  • You can apply for this grant if you own or occupy an existing property that uses natural gas and completely and permanently disconnect it from the natural gas grid
  • New construction is excluded from this scheme
  • Apply for the grant before you start work
  • You complete the work within 1 year of the grant award
  • You have an inspector from the municipality inspect the work if he requests it
  • You have not previously received a grant to make the building natural gas-free.
